Overall, this seems like a very workflow specific tool to me – for some people, it’s going to be absolutely amazing, while for others, it’s not the best fit for their workflows and there may not be a need for it. You can also assign these tools to keyboard shortcuts for quick access by visiting Window, Preferences, then scrolling down under Extensions/Eneroth Swift Layer Visibility Control. This basically remembers the objects that you turned off last, allowing you to make quick changes without having to go back and re-select all the different layers to turn off. You can turn all the layers back on using “Show active layers,” then select an object that you’d like to keep on and run this option. The third option – “Re-Hide Last Shown Except for Selected Layers,” is almost like an advanced Undo function – let’s say you hid a bunch of layers, including a layer or two that you accidentally selected. If you want to turn your layers back on, the second button – “Show Active Layers,” will turn on all layers within your model. All raw geometry should be created as Untagged and only groups and components should be assigned different tags to control visibility. endlessfix March 26, 2020, 12:47pm 3 extra credit note: The only tag that should ever be active is untagged. This will hide all the layers of any objects that you have selected. Look for Tags icon (layer was renamed as tag). The way it works is simple – When working in your model and you want to hide a layer, simply select an object on that layer, then click the button for “Hide Selected Layers.” This works both with individual and multiple selections. This can be very helpful, especially if your layers list is 30 items long. This is a tool from Christina Eneroth designed to help you quickly hide and unhide layers without having to search for them in your layers list. Where can you get it?
